Scheandla-Bund
Bronze polished, 18 x 15 x 29 cm, 2021

The Scheandla-Bund sculpture, transforms the mundane relic of disappearing Schindeln craft into a monument. It refers to over 100 years of craft practiced by the Loher family from Montlingen/Oberriet. Its form is no longer derived from ergonomics and function, but becomes a sculptural appreciation of the beauty of geometric form.
